Get a brand-new boiler to keep warm this wintertime

Icy winds of wintertime curl through the trees and you huddle at your window, thinking of heating for your home – this season perhaps you should get yourself gas central heating. You can guarantee yourself a comfortable and enjoyable house with a gas central heating system that is safe and reliable.

In general, two types of central heating systems exist, one that’s pumped and the other with a vented system; but a gas boiler, heating radiator and pipework make up the component parts of most heaters.

The most commonly used central heating systems are the pumped systems, which consists of two outstanding parts, a feed and expansion tank; the tank is the core of the system, it first heats itself and then transfers the heat to the heaters through the pipes. Provision is made for water to be filled in the expansion tank tank as well as for expansion of the heated water.

There is also what is known as a sealed system in which no centre core is used to warm the heating radiators. It’s basically closed, so there is really no need for any water tanks and the space they require. A sealed gas central heating system eliminates the risk of water leakage, airlock formation and pipe freeze (a common problem in the harsh winters of countries like Russia).

So you might ask what is really the point of getting gas central heating?.

Gas central heating is great in a way that it warms up your office and home at a lightening fast speed and the quality of the surrounding air doesn’t even get affected. The old type heaters that were used were gas fires and electric heaters, as well as storage heaters. But these produced uncomfortable humidity and a horrible smell.

Central heating ended such problems, however your gas central heating system should be checked and serviced regularly in order to ensure it is running at its optimum. Spring and summertime often sees these systems shut down and completely ignored, only to be abruptly switched on when a chilly wind blows in. Try to switch on your heating system during autumn so that if there is any defect, it can be fixed well before wintertimes approach and fixed at a time when the plumbers are less busy.

It should also be noted that some central heating systems allow air or dirt into them, so annual draining is required. The easiest way to do this is to gently open the valve and allow any water to fall into a bucket placed underneath.
