An open vent heating boiler provides plenty of hot water that can be used simultaneously, just like a sealed central heating system, but again here too heating takes time and the pressure is not as good as with a combi central heating system.
Finally, a back heating boiler can allow multiple outlets of hot water at the same time, without loss of pressure; but they can take up a lot of space. Back boilers are usually stored in the chimney breast but if you do not have this type of gas boiler installed you will find that it is not worth shifting over to this form of heating. But if your house already had a back boiler when you bought it, you can gain a lot of savings by replacing it with the same type; if it requires replacement, it’s much more cost effective to get a new back boiler than getting a totally different central heating system system.
But, no matter what kind of central heating system you have in your home it can be very expensive to repair. You can get some peace of mind if you take central heating insurance because if any thing goes wrong with your heating system your costs will be covered by the insurance supplier or utility company. And you could save yourself even more if you take out a central heating system maintenance policy that also includes yearly boiler inspections, giving you peace of mind that it is operating both safely and efficiently.
