It’s easy to heat up your home during summers however you can meet a lot of problems if your central heating boiler stops working as winter approaches unless you are used to talking cold showers. No one remembers about the heating boiler in their house until that day when it breaks down. Suddenly it becomes a very important and rather expensive piece of essential equipment.

Another type of boiler is the sealed system gas boiler which has a hot water storage tank and is usually used for large families, as it allows several showers and hot water taps to work at the same time. The system gas boiler needs not much space and it is quick and easy to install. But hot water can get exhausted fast and not replaced quickly if used frequently because of the storage tank feature of the central heating system system.
An open vent central heating boiler is the norm in most older homes, and takes up the most space; two water tanks in the loft and a storage cylinder in the airing cupboard. An open vent central heating system provides plenty of hot water that can be used simultaneously, just like a sealed central heating boiler, but again here too heating takes time and the pressure is not as good as with a combi central heating boiler.
Lastly, what’s known as a back boiler gives simultaneous access to hot water from several outlets with sustained pressure; but it may need a large area for installation. Usually back boilers are kept in chimney breasts, but it is generally considered unwise to switch to a back heating boiler if you don’t already have one due to the higher installation costs. But if your house already had a back boiler when you bought it, you can gain a lot of savings by replacing it with the same type; if it requires replacement, it’s much more cost effective to get a new back heating boiler than getting a totally different boiler system.
Whichever gas boiler your home has, it can be costly to repair. Taking out central heating insurance can provide peace of mind that if something goes wrong with your heating system, your costs will be covered. Buy an insurance plan that includes an annual maintenance contract and emergency house calls and repairs when needed; you will save some extra money and mean you never have to shiver in your shower again.
